Long Division
03:13
|
|||
Last I heard you were havin' a ball, well I think that's swell.
I don't give a damn what you're doin', as long as you're doin' it well
Well I've been busy starin' at the wall and the broken tile
It's been one year, three months, and eight days since I've seen your smile
Well just don't sweat, I don't care at all
Please don't leave a message on my phone
In my life I've got some crazy shit
To tell you the truth, I don't need you to add to it
If this life were arithmetic I'd be multiplication, you'd be long division
Left a note to self as I was smokin' a cig and I saw the show
I guess you're somethin' big and I guess I should have known
That despite their motivation, everyone has to grow
Pencils down, the test is done and I've scored to shun
Well just don't sweat, I don't care at all
Please don't leave a message on my phone
In my life I've got some crazy shit
To tell you the truth, I don't need you to add to it
If this life were arithmetic I'd be multiplication, you'd be long division
And you know I've never been good at long division
But I don't care - you've got my calculator
It was one divided by the other
Well just don't sweat, I don't care at all
Please don't leave a message on my phone
In my life I've got some crazy shit
To tell you the truth, I don't need you to add to it
If this life were arithmetic I'd be multiplication, you'd be long division

Weary boy
Pick up the hammer
I think it's time
To finally hit the nails
When you've walked your way
For far too long
The change is so hard
Remember those bridgeways
If you're so tired
If you're so bored
Then beg yourself to move
Plead yourself to breathe
When you've hit rock bottom
Hit rock bottom
Dead end - dead ahead

Wait For Me
02:37
|
|||
When the grey of the road meets the grey of the sky
That's where I'll be waiting with my arms folded like the Buddha, baby
Just so you know
I love the cold and the rain, and everything in between
When things don't go my way
Everything just so happens to turn grey
Will you wait for me?
Will you wait for ME?
Will you wait for me?
Will you wait for ME?
In the handsome light that the sun does shine into your pretty bloodshot eyes
Is burned into my memory lines like some shitty poem burning rhyme by rhyme
Just so you know
I love the cold and the rain, and everything in between
When things don't go my way
Everything just so happens to turn grey
Will you wait for me?
Will you wait for ME?
Will you wait for me?
Will you wait for ME?
Well they say education costs money baby
Well look around and learn baby, they can't take that away from me
Just so you know
I love the cold and the rain, and everything in between
When things don't go my way
Everything just so happens to turn grey
Will you wait for me?
Will you wait for ME?
Will you wait for me?
Will you wait for ME?

Two Choices
02:14
|
|||
A long time ago someone once told me I was different
That's something I don't see, see I look no differently
Than anyone on the street
It's just me, and I
Have
Two choices
And I
Could be
Two people
But I am me
And I guess
I'm happy
And this is the end - I don't think I can end all the sorrow in just one song
But I have two choices: end or go along
End or go along
End or go along

What do you want, when ya gonna ask it of me
You want my money, and my time
Grass is greener when I got a better thing and
You wanna be on the greener side
Tell it to the men who give a shit about it
Tell it to your mother who is on your mind
Shove it on the people who can care for you dude
Don't leave it up to me because I'm doin' fine
.... you want to bug me
Everything sucks and you cannot stand it
Nothing makes you happy
It's my problem isn't it buggy
When I'm inside, you are outside
When I am present, you are absent
You can hate me, I don't really care
It's what you do to others that is buggin me
All the dirty garbage that you spew in their face
When you gonna get a mop and bucket and clean
I can see you, acting like you own it all
Lookin in the mirror walkin' down the street
Break your fuckin mirror and just look around man
Your life is your problem it is not on me
...... you want to bug me
Everything sucks and you cannot stand it
Nothing makes you happy
It's my problem isn't it buggy
When I'm inside, you are outside
When I am present, you are absent
All you really want is for someone to hold you
Then get up off the couch and get out of the house
But no, you gotta sit here stewing in shit dude
Hoping people care what you're freakin about
Let me ask you one singular question
What do you want in your life right now
All you're doing now is bein an asshole
So don't look to me because I'm fucking out
.... you want to bug me
Everything sucks and you cannot stand it
Nothing makes you happy
It's my problem isn't it buggy
When I'm inside, you are outside
When I am present, you are absent

Let It Happen
02:30
|
|||
let it out
let it in
let it go
let it win
let it happen until you never think of it again
Just yesterday I did the same thing
That I do every day again and again
Sometimes you have to let it happen
Go with the grain until it all sets in
let it happen until you never think of it again
What happens after everything stops
What will I do with my time
Maybe you have to let it happen
And eventually it will all unwind
Let it happen until you run out of time

Noosphere
03:42
|
|||
Through the great veil
At the end of these years
They giggle in wait
Of what we will know
The Noosphere awaits
Together we think
The galaxy speaks
We are not in reality
Of what we call time
We make the world live
By measuring everything
By creating life
The Noosphere awaits
Together we think
The galaxy speaks
We are not in reality
In wisdom they play
Our minds with our history
To push us toward the sun
Which they resonate from
The Noosphere Awaits
Together we think, yeah
The galaxy speaks
We are not in reality
Maia, I see your eye
I want to rip the veil
Maia, I've waited so long
To see what you've shown
Maia, the day draws near
When we will all be here

On Your Road
02:19
|
|||
I saw you brushin' your hair this mornin'
From the back as far as anyone could see
You could have been anyone I've ever seen
You could have been anything
But you said you saw the trees
Had yourself an epiphany
Said you'd go for a while
On your road you may see me again
And when you were gone I looked at that same tree
I tried to figure out exactly what I'd seen
Then I realized I was looking with my eyes
Then I closed them and saw my own dreams
And you said that we were going to your castles in the sand
That we would stand above them and pour water over them
And if you think that I miss you, well, you are wrong
Cause I get along just fine since you've been gone
And I say, and I say
You said you saw the trees
Had yourself an epiphany
Said you'd go for a while
On your road you may see me again

For The Islander

How difficulties plague us when we're at our utmost confidence. When we're safe in our shells, somebody comes along and gives us the big one. The sound of what we've made is our only comfort in a dark place, and adding to our secret meaning is our only escape.
We lovingly wander this earth of ours, barefoot, in search of any and all who would be with us on our journey through our many natures. Some are violently loving; many are the love of violence. The trees and the wind are our inanimate lovers and we yearn for more and more and more.
When we think of the ocean we think of home because when we grew legs to be with the land we missed it so. Little by little, those that would have use be silenced pinch at our minds with their fatal thinking while we dance in fields of large, green clovers. Again, barefoot so our conduit to the earth is not shielded.
Our cosmos is that of chaos and beauty. To assume otherwise is not what we do; we are in love. We love the ways of this absurd existence, and why not? To assume that there is no love is not what we do. We are IN love.

Roundhouse
01:05
|
|||
Everything you say is
So lame
I'm runnin' so fast tryin' to
Get away
When I turn back around and see you
Up in my shit
I just wanna reach back and do a
Roundhouse kick
I was ten years old and the world was great
I was writin' sci-fi by the second grade
But you stood behind me and you criticized
So I grabbed a rubber band and snapped you in your eye
When I enjoy flowers or chardonnay
Nothin' stops you, you're in my way
I try to be nice and just walk back up
But you seem to have a craving for an uppercut
A triple suplex or a piledriver
It's like nothin' to you, you're in denial
I'd advise you to stay far away from me
But you really really like to get kicked in the spleen
Oh, oh oh, oh
Firefly was an excellent show
But I prefer Breaking Bad, you know

Into The Aether
03:31
|
|||
I put my head out
Of my hidden place
I put my line out
Into the Aether
Try to find a
Good connection
Try to send my
Line out to someone
I have to find anything with which to make a connection
To keep me tethered to this strange existence
I see the wave come
It's rising on the cusp
I see horizons
Bigger than everything
The balls of energy
Streaming right through me
The wall is there
It is tall, but impossibly
I have to find anything with which to make a connection
To keep me tethered to this strange existence
When you see me lying there in my comfy chair what do you see but a man inside a comfy chair? He looks at the sun, he looks at the moon - what does he see? Who knows? It's just a bunch of things. When you see me lying there in my comfy chair what do you see? Do you see a man? Well, I'll tell you one thing - it's not a man, it's a bag of particles and I have to live in this strange existence.
I am on the other plane
I'm on the outer rim
I am the drop of
Liquid existence
Into the fair wave
Particles crashing
Events so small
They did not happen at all
I have to find anything with which to make a connection
To keep me tethered to this strange existence
Ahhhhh - HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaAAAAaaaaaaaaahhhhhh

Niock:
I was drivin' through the cemetary late one night
The moonlight lit the path and I developed a fright
Saw myself in a hole in a coffin in the ground
So to distract my worried mind I took a look around
I saw flowers in the gutter that had blown from the graves
They used to be on a tombstone but got blown by the waves
of the wind and erosion that will get to my skin
In about ten years I'll be pathetic and thin
My skin like paper and my mind pickled with lime
My thoughts random and erratic
Sourced from some other time
My past playing like a movie on a film in my eyes
No one can see the memories; I keep them inside
When I see the old people all crippled in their bed
I just remember that in time that will be me instead
What? You think I want to be dead?
No, I drink 'cause I lack feeling of purpose; the dread
Hits me like a million tons of lectures at TED
The news comes at me like a negative tornado that sucks in all the light
I've got to remind myself that in the turmoil
Something's gotta be right
Something's gotta be right
Something's gotta be right
I never know because every day just feels like
My darkest night
Karsten:
I awaken in the morning and spring up to the floor
And see the sandman before he drops the sleep rocks
And see spots, rub my eyes and rummage through my drawer for my neat socks
And then the beat drops
Email notifier tellin' me I gotta see Nickdawg
Brought the beat box and it rocks it can't stop hits hard kicks nards on guard and then it falls off
HA HA HA
Spring clocks forward and make time
Crisp out air is clear and so is my mind
I might've wanted to get ready for the weekend but instead I'm snoozin, sleepin, hittin' rewind and in my mind it'll be fine
No new territory here
I'm like the Magellan of singin' to the air
Blind art. My audience is the aether
But hey no biggie I don't like my voice either
I sound like Weezer on paper but then my neighbors think I'm havin' a seizure but they don't see me up in here with my experimental mental note and hey that's my nature and
Oh honey I shrunk my head with a laseeeerrr
----------
Something's gotta be right
Something's gotta be right
Something's gotta be right
I never know because every day just feels like
My darkest night

We Are Ours
02:16

Take my hand
Go down to the shed
Lay the blanket down
Cradle your head
Tell you all the things that you wanna hear
Tell you about the time that we met at work
And I'll talk with you
'Til the moon goes down
----
We'll take a walk
Down to the bridge
Hear the passing cars
Pretend it's a stream
Now I don't believe in heaven and I don't believe in ghosts
I put my highest faith in whom I love the most
And that's you
We will not fall away
----
Used to be by myself
Hide in a room
But when I took all your pens
I returned them to you
We started laughing and then you looked up
Your eyes were bright and happy when I drew on your cup
I yearned to call on you
But I did not know
----
Now you and I
We're a pair of tens
If we've done all the things
I want to do them again
In your eyes I see the future and I can't get enough
I want to be with you until the sky burns up
The world is bright and blue
When your hand is close to mine

Then you'll have to wash it
It will never end
